Crop Scout / Agronomy Assistant
Job details
Full job description
Atlantic Recruiting Group is hiring a Crop Scout / Agronomy Assistant to join our Kinston team.
About Atlantic Recruiting Group
A specialised North Carolina agriculture and livestock operations staffing partner connecting employers with farm and livestock staff across Eastern North Carolina. Headquartered in Kinston, founded in 2008, with a focus on long-term placement quality over volume.
About the role
You'll walk fields and tell growers what's actually happening in them. Day to day you'll scout crops for weeds, insects, and disease, assess staging and stand counts, pull soil and tissue samples, and record observations with field mapping apps. You'll report findings to the agronomist, flag thresholds that justify action, and help with trial plots, equipment calibration, and grain or forage sampling through the season.
What you will bring
You bring agronomy training or farm experience and the discipline to scout thoroughly when it's hot, buggy, and tempting to drive past. You identify common regional weeds and pests, take clear notes, and enjoy working outdoors independently. A valid driver's licence is required.
Atlantic Recruiting Group is recruiting this role on behalf of one of our client operations. Apply through this listing and our team will follow up with role-specific details and next steps.

- Diploma or degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent farm experience)
